Stop-motion animation uses old video animation techniques where many individual photographs are combined to create the illusion of movement. It's been used in movies like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, the Nightmare Before Christmas, Caroline, Chicken Run, Wallace & Gromit, and the original Terminator movie. Here we pay tribute to some of the most innovative stop motion animators who prove that more can be achieved with simple snapshots than ever imagined.
